34 people in their 20s or 30s are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UKWhatever type, whatever stage, we get them active, connected and improve their overall quality of life.

86% of our community say we've supported them in the ways they needed.

2021/22 IMPACT REPORT

PEOPLE WE SUPPORT TELL US THEY NEED TO:

So, our programmes are designed with this in mind.

We know we

We never stop measuring our impact. Making sure our programmes meet the needs of our community is our main priority. We won't bore you with alllll (unless you want them?) the details but we use feedback, surveys, lots of number crunching and expert external evaluation to make sure everything's ticking all the boxes.

Don't just take our word for it...

Our community tell us that cancer doesn't end when treatment does and we fill a gap:

“Charities like Trekstock provide invaluable support in recognising that dealing with the fallout from cancer is ongoing”

They tell us we help them feel less isolated:

"Trekstock’s events allow young adults with cancer to meet others going through what you are. There’s no sitting in a room feeling like the youngest person by 15-20 years, which sadly can feel incredibly isolating. The events allow us to feel ‘normal’ when usually we feel anything but”

They tell us our events connect them with people who get it:

“I didn't realise how important it was to go to events with other cancer peeps and feel part of a community of people who 'get it' until I started going to Trekstock events”

They tell us we fill a gap in care provision:

"There is a feeling of being let go once the cancer journey comes to end, yet there are so many more hurdles to overcome before resuming a 'normal life'. Trekstock seems to act as that bridge to give support and information to those who need it”

They tell us we unite them with others:

“I posted on the Facebook group and my god it helped to hear from those in the same headspace. Sometimes you need to talk to people who just get it”

And they tell us the value of getting active through our RENEW programme:

"It has shown me that I am more capable than I think. It has improved my strength post-surgery and radiotherapy and given me the motivation to continue to exercise through treatment. It was a great mental boost each week. Tailored, supportive, fun"
