Abby's Heroes The aim of our charity is to help and support children and their families, including bereaved families, who come under the care of the Piam Brown Ward and the Teenagers and Young Adults (TYA) wards at Southampton General Hospital. We offer financial and practical help as well as the opportunity to make lasting memories for the children and their families. CATTS We’re the charity here to ensure more young people know the signs and symptoms of cancer, whatever their background. We’re passionate about young people feeling empowered about their own health. Dragonfly Cancer Trust We work with specialist cancer treatment centres, hospitals, hospices and families across the UK providing support for young cancer patients under the age of 25 with a palliative diagnosis. Our focus is on memory making, helping young patients to make each moment matter with their loved ones. We do this by providing Cash Gifts, keepsakes and creative therapy. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are continuously inspired by the young people we support. Teenage Cancer Trust Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. We’re the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone. We fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS, so young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout treatment. We run events for young people with cancer to help them regain independence and meet other young people going through something similar. We also provide easy-to-understand information about every aspect of living with cancer as a young person. Teens Unite Fighting Cancer Supporting those in their teens and early 20's who are fighting cancer. There are 2,555 new cases of cancer diagnosed in teenagers and young adults in the UK each year. Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation is a charitable foundation, founded on 28th February 2014 in memory of Tom Bowdidge. Tom died of a Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour and extensive peritoneal disease in October 2013, at the age of 19.
